Pictou Landing – Ann Jean MacNeil, age 76, Lower Road, Pictou Landing, passed away on Thursday, February 28, 2008, in the Aberdeen Hospital. Born in Newtown, Guysborough Co., she was a daughter of the late Vincent and Catherine (Whidden) MacLean. She ran the Lobster Bar in Pictou Landing for 22 years, was a cashier with Sobeys and worked for a short time with Michelin. She was a member of Christ the King Roman Catholic Church, Trenton and the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 29. She is survived by her husband, Donnie; sons: Cartie (Shannon), Lourdes; Shane (Susan), Lyons Brook; Bill (Brenda), Hazel Glen; grandchildren: Ryan, Candice, Chelsea, Megan, Amie, Nicholas, Cole and Taylor; sister, Wilena Johnson, Truro; brothers: Bert (Wilma), Stellarton; Percy (Theresa), Dartmouth. She was predeceased by her first husband, Harold Tomlinson; sister, Agnes. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation by request. Funeral service 11 a.m. Monday in Christ the King Roman Catholic Church, Trenton, with Father Gary MacPherson officiating. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery. Reception to follow in Br. 29 Royal Canadian Legion, Trenton. Donations in her memory may be made to the Aberdeen Palliative Care Society or a charity of choice. Arrangements are under the direction of the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, Trenton.
