HORSEFIELD, WILLA EILEEN (HAINES) (COATES) Willa Eileen (Haines) (Coates) Horsefield of Snider Mountain, NB, wife of Thomas Horsefield, was called home to be with her Lord on Friday, May 16, 2003 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton, NB. Born in Devon, NB, she was a daughter of the late Everett and Edith (White) Haines. Willa had worked as a Medical Receptionist, was a member of the Sussex Wesleyan Church and volunteered at Circle Square Ranch. Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Deborah Shanks (Greg) of Fredericton and Shauna Hay (Joe) of Douglas; two step-daughters, Karen Horsefield of Amherst and Susan McGinnis (Ivan) of Dartmouth; six grandchildren and one great granddaughter; four sisters, Letitia Lancaster (Ken) of Burtt's Corner, Leona Chaters (Alec) of Toronto, Evelyn Hubbard (Joe) of California and Virginia Hanson of New Hampshire; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Ellsworth and Elton; three sisters, Ella, Mary and Winona. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton North on Saturday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at the Burtt's Corner Church of Christ on Sunday at 2 pm with Rev. Norman Trafton officiating and Rev. Peter Thomas assisting. Interment will be held in the Burtt's Corner Community Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to the Circle Square Ranch, Canadian Cancer Society or the Palliative Care Unit of the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
