EDNEY, A. KEITH The death of A. Keith Edney of Taymouth, cherished husband of Jean H. (Somerville) Edney occurred peacefully at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Wednesday, October 15, 2003 at the age of 89. Born in Taymouth, NB, he was a son of the late Fred G. and Jennie N. (Bell) Edney. Mr. Edney was a retired farmer, woodsman, fisherman, a Life Member of the Elks Club, Member of the IOOF and Past Member of the LOL. Keith was fine husband and father, a good old boy, "now gone to see the wizard". Besides his wife, he was a caring father to six daughters, Jennie Edney of Casselman On, Ruth Lawrence (Laurel) of Fredericton NB, Elizabeth Nicholls (Robert) of Hemmingford PQ, Marion Warman (Gordon) of Grenfell Sk, Vera Coy (Richard) of Taymouth NB and Viola Edney (Phillip Brewer) of Penniac NB; 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; devoted brother to Guy Edney of Taymouth NB; several nieces and nephews; special friends and neighbors John and Nancy Baird. He is predeceased by one son Frederick James Edney. Visitation will be held at York Funeral Home 302 Brookside Drive Fredericton NB on Saturday from 2 to 3pm, a graveside service will follow at 4:30pm at the Taymouth Community Cemetery with Rev. Hazel Morris - Harvey officiating. For those who wish, remembrances to the Nashwaak Villa, Taymouth Community Cemetery or a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
