FRASER, FRED The death of Fred Fraser, age 75, of Nashwaak Bridge, husband of Audrey (McAndrew) Fraser, occurred on Saturday, June 25th 2005, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born in Nashwaak Bridge, NB, he was the son of the late Clair and Irene (Gilmore) Fraser. He retired from the Canadian Armed Forces having served with the Navy. He also worked for many years with the York Regional Library. Fred was a Mason and an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch # 80. He was very involved in his community. Fred enjoyed playing darts, cribbage and sharing good times with friends and family at his camp in Nashwaak Bridge. He is survived by his wife Audrey, to whom he was married for 53 years on Monday, one son, Claude Fraser (Carol), Lakeside, NS; four daughters, Edna Lang (Chris), of Lakeside, NS, Patti Byrne, Roxanne MacFarlane (Calvin), both of Fredericton, and Tracey Fraser, (John Weerstra), of Calgary; nine grandchildren, Dean (Holly), Byron and Ashley Lang, Tracy and Peter Hatter, Alex, Hilary and Andrew Byrne, Mitchell and Julie MacFarlane and Carly Weerstra; one brother, Jack Fraser, of Jacquet River; six sisters, Jean Spilman, Vivian Roussell (Camille), June Douglass (Stuart), all of Nashwaak Bridge, Pearl Armstrong, Gertrude Colpitts, both of Saskatchewan, and Beth Renalds, of New Mexico; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he is predeceased by two brothers, Ted and Peter. Visitation will be held at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Dr., Fredericton, NB, on Sunday June 26, 2005, from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The funeral service will be held at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Monday, June 27, 2005, at 2 pm. with Father Monte Peters officiating. The Nashwaak Bridge Legion, Branch 80 will hold Tribute Service. Sunday night at 7pm. Interment will take place in the Nashwaak Bridge Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to the Nashwaak Bridge Legion, Branch 80 and/or the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
