POWERS, MARY VERNA HAZEL The passing of Mary Verna Hazel Powers of Minto, NB occurred at the W. G. Bishop Nursing Home in Minto NB on Tuesday, August 23rd, 2005. Born in Minto NB, on February 7th, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Corbett & Margaret (Fulton) Crawford. Roman Catholic by faith, Mary was a retired nurse's assistant. She is survived by four sons; John (Margaret) of Fredericton, Ralph of Saint John, Keven of Noonan, Mark (Linda) of Salisbury,one daughter Margaret of Noonan, 15 grandchildren, one great-grandson, three brothers Gordon Crawford (Maria) of Minto, Alvin (Diane) of Cumberland Bay, Harold Crawford (Jeanette) of Leominister Mass USA, numerous nieces, nephews & cousins. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her husband Peter R. Powers. Resting at Bishop's Funeral Home 540 Woodstock Road Fredericton on Wednesday & Thursday August 24th & 25th from 2-4, & 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held at St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church on Friday at 11 AM. Interment to take place in St. Anthony's Cemetery.
