HOWLAND, OSWALD JONES Oswald J. Howland of Meductic passed away November 23, 2005 at Carleton Memorial Hospital, Woodstock. Born at Springfield, York Co., NB in 1925, he was the son of the late Zemro O. and Eva M. (Jones) Howland. He was a member of the Meductic Baptist Church and the Woodstock Masonic Lodge. Oswald enjoyed playing music and spending time in his garage and with his family. Oswald is survived by his wife, Ruth E. (Cummings) Howland; one daughter, Louise Beers (Verne), Woodstock; one son, Edward Howland (Kathy), Meductic; one granddaughter, Jana Howland, Meductic and one grandson, Ryan Burpee, Woodstock. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by three infant brothers. Resting at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic with visiting hours Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from Meductic Baptist Church, Meductic, NB on Saturday, November 26, 2005 at 2 p.m. Rev. Dale Greer officiating. Interment in Lower Meductic Cemetery. Honorary pallbearer will be Vernon Howland. Active pallbearers will be Lloyd Collicott, Curtis Cummings, Roger Lauzier, Ryan Burpee, Donnie Bull and Neil McLellan.
