(Bea) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bea Hemmens in Halifax, Nova Scotia on Wednesday, June 18, 2008. Born in St. John's, Newfoundland on May 25, 1911, she was predeceased by husband Jack, as well as three brothers and two sisters. Bea was the loving mother of Alma (Chuck) Coffen, David (Maggie) and Linda (Gerald) O'Hara, all of Halifax. She was also grandmother of six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren of Nova Scotia and British Columbia. The family would like to thank the staff of 8 Center, Northwood. Their loving care was appreciated every day. You are all special people. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service and interment will be held in St. John's, Newfoundland at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue at a later date (TBA).
