MACNABB, BESSIE JOSEPHINE The death of Bessie J. MacNabb of Pine Grove Nursing Home occurred Monday, August 14th, 2006. Born in Canterbury, NB, she was the daughter of the late Segee and Minnie (Dickinson) Grant and the wife of the late Allen MacNabb. Bessie was a member of the Wilmot United Church, past chief of the Pythian Sisters, charter member and first president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 4, member of UCW of Wilmot Church and past superintendent of St. John Ambulance. Survived by two daughters, Lorna Peters (Ralph) of Saint John, and Barbara Cuming (Fred) of Fredericton; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; eight great great-grandchildren; one sister, Glenna Hammond (George) of Lansdale, PA; daughter-in-law, Joan MacNabb of Fredericton, NB. Predeceased by her parents; husband, Allen; one son, Gordon MacNabb. There will be no visitation by request. The funeral service will be held at the J. A. McAdam Memorial Chapel on Thursday, August 17th, 2006 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Bob Jones officiating. Interment will be in the Fredericton Rural Extension Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made to the Parkinson's Society or to a charity of one's choice.
