MCKAY, HARRY THOMAS The passing of Harry Thomas McKay, husband of Effie Marie (Raymond) McKay, of Zealand, NB, occurred on March 20, 2007 at his home. Born on March 5, 1926 in Portage, PEI, he was a son of the late John Robert and Virginia Ethel (Wilson) McKay. Harry was a woods worker and a member of the Burtt's Corner Jesus Name Pentecostal Church. Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Tersa May Mattix of Saint John, NB; one son, John Robert (Jackie Estabrooks) McKay at home; four grandchildren, Brandan, Dallien, CJ and Bailey; three sisters, Phyllis Milligan (Gordon) of PEI, Wilma McCartney of Elmsdale, NB, Shirley Tadden of Elsville, NB; one brother, Emmerson McKay of Deer Island, NB; one half brother, Vernon Boyles of PEI; one sister-in-law, Shelia McKay of Deer Island, NB and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one daughter, Virginia Rose; step-father, Henry Boyles; two sisters, Edith and Bell McKay; five brothers, Roy, Arthur, Gerald, Angus and Wilson; one sister-in-law, Pearl Calder step-brother, Charles Boyles. Visitation will take place at the Honeydale Pentecostal Church, Honeydale, NB on Thursday from 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from the Church on Friday, March 23, 2007 at 2 pm with Rev. Lewis Seeley and Rev. Sydney Haines officiating with Pastor Garry Hanley assisting. Interment will take place at Morris Mills Cemetery, St. Stephen, NB. For those who wish, remembrances made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
