Stratford It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, Ethellynn Margaret Stratford on Tuesday, January 27, 2009 with family at her side. Mom was born June 7, 1917 on the farm south of Caron. She loved the outdoors and the farm. In her early years she was a tom-boy, growing up with her brother Les. They rode horses everywhere and if there was something to attend they went on horseback. Mom and her sisters lived on the family farm near Caron and attended Sweet Grass School and Royal George. She married Bill McHolm and they had three sons: Bill, Gordon and Ted. At that time they lived west of Moose Jaw. In later years mom married Henry Stratford and they had a son, Barry. Henry had one daughter, Shirley. They resided on the farm at Buttress, later retiring to Moose Jaw, then to Pioneer Village. At the time of her passing she was residing a Pioneer Lodge. Predeceased by her husband, Henry in May 1999, son, Bill - September 2003, daughter-in-law, Edna McHolm - 2004, son, Barry - September 2007, granddaughter, Linda Hutchinson - January 2002; sisters: Rosemond Dykstra and Hilda Krause, and brother, Leslie Andrews. Left to mourn her passing is her daughter, Shirley (Grant) Hutchinson; sons: Gordon (Eileen) McHolm and Ted (Peggie) McHolm; sisters: Ruth McIntyre, Bernice Austin, Violet (Paul) Sapergia, Darlene (Ed) Kitzul, Olive Russell, Marilyn Nielson and brother, Ivan Andrews, step-mother, Helen Andrews; sixteen grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and their families, and many friends. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. in the W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Chapel. Reverend Dave Moore will officiate. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery. For those so wishing, memorials to Pioneer Lodge, 1000 Albert St. W., Moose Jaw, S6H 2Y2 would be appreciated. In living memory of Ethellynn, a tree will be planted in Besant Park by W. J.
