MCMONAGLE, DORIS ELIZABETH The death of Doris McMonagle of Burton, NB occurred on December 29th, 2008 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born in Upper Gagetown, NB, Doris was the daughter of the late George and Louise (Trifts) Chase and wife to the late Lawrence McMonagle. She will be missed by her daughter, Donna Bridges (Stuart) of Sheffield, NB; daughter-in-law, Brenda McMonagle; grandchildren, Lenny McMonagle (Lorrie), Steven McMonagle (Kristi), Billy Bridges (Shelley) and Jimmy Bridges (Tanya); seven great-grandchildren, Brittney, Sarah, Duncan, Travis, Oliver, Connor and Emma; several nieces and nephews as well as her special friend, Ollie. Doris is predeceased by her parents; her husband, Lawrence; son, Emerson and her siblings, Edith, Goldie, Evelyn and Emerson. Doris was a member of St. John's Anglican Church in Oromocto being active in the ACW. She worked for many years in the X-ray Department at the Oromocto Public Hospital as well as being involved in the Hospital Auxillary, the Liberal Association and the IODE. Visitation will be held at Oromocto Select Community Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 31st, 2008 from 7 to 9 pm. A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 2nd, 2009 at 2:00 pm from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Keith Howlett officiating.
