MAURICE EDWARD MCARTHUR
MCARTHUR, MAURICE EDWARD Maurice McArthur, age 91 of Fredericton passed away at the Veteran's Health Unit on January 26, 2009. Husband of the late Jean (LeGrys) McArthur and son of the late John and Grace (Oldenburg) McArthur. Maurice served with the Carleton York during World War II and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion. He was employed with the Provincial Government for 33 years. Survived by four daughters Pat and Louis Spadoni of Fredericton, Susan and Alfred Ferguson of Kingston, Linda and Victor Chandler of Ottawa, and Deborah Haywood of Abbottsford; nine grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; brothers James (Marion) and Melbourne (Carole) all of Fredericton; sisters Irene Boone, Bessie Johnston and Shirley Titus all of Fredericton; nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Robert, Percy, John, Chilson, Irvine and Bradley; sisters Grace (Jane) MacLean and Doris. Visitation will be held at Bishop's Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton on Thursday, January 29, 2009 from 1 to 4 PM. The funeral service will be held at Bishop's Funeral Home Chapel, Friday, January 30, 2009 at 2:00 PM, with Rev. H. Gil MacKenzie officiating. Internment to take place at a later date in the Forest Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
