ANNIE ESTELLE FULTON

FULTON, ANNIE ESTELLE Aged 96, in her sleep at the York Manor Nursing Home on May 2, 2009. With respect to her wishes, Annie will be cremated. A Memorial Service will be held from the Lakeville Corner United Church, Route 690 on Thursday, 14 May, 2009 at 2 pm with Rev. Ruth Stuart officiating. Interment will take place immediately following in the church cemetery. Born 13 April 1913 at Maquapit Lake, Annie was the daughter of Frederick and Lovila (London) Thompson and was a long time resident of Lakeville Corner. She taught at both Maquapit Lake and Lakeville Corner one room schools and for many years at the Parker Memorial School in Minto. Predeceased by her husband, Earle Fulton in 1985, she is survived by her only child, Wendell (Pamela) of Fredericton and Lakeville Corner and two grandchildren, Duncan (Annie) of Toronto and Hannah, formerly of Fredericton now of Doaktown; also great grandson, William of Toronto. She was descended from thirty United Empire Loyalists with surnames Albright, Austin, Bagley, Bailey, Brown, Chase, Clark, Corey, Gable, Gillis, London, Reinhardt, Seamans, Sherwood, Sypher, Tompkins, Twaddle and Wanty, as well as two pre-Loyalists, Elijah Estabrooks and Hezekiah Whittemore; William Chase who was with Winthrop's First Fleet to Massachusetts Bay; and Stephen Hoopkins of the Mayflower. Arrangements have been entrusted to York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton (458-9538). For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Lakeville Corner War Memorial.
