Lloyd 'Breeze' Clarke

1927-2008, Toronto Lloyd ‘Breeze’ Clarke, 80, formerly of Glace Bay, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, April 18, 2008. Born in Glace Bay he was the son of the late Herbert and Mary Elizabeth (Ashe) Clarke. After leaving Glace Bay at a young age, he worked at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto, then went on to work for the City of Toronto Public Works until his retirement. Breeze loved his daily leisure walks with many of his friends. He will be sadly missed by his sister, Muriel Snook, Newfoundland; sister-in-law, Catherine Clarke, Glace Bay; and many nieces and nephews in Glace Bay. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Grace, sisters, Emily, Mildred, Dora, Susan and brother, Herb ‘Lefty’. Breeze was a kind and gentle man. He will be deeply missed by family and all those who knew him. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay.
