MR. GUS J. BUTCHER
BUTCHER, MR. GUS J. - The death of Mr. Gus J. Butcher of Broadway Ave., husband of Mrs. Celine (Furlotte) Butcher occurred on Wednesday, December 26, 2001 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Bathurst, N.B. a son of the late Charles and Mary Anne (Levigne) Butcher. Mr. Butcher was a Decorator and Painter for many years with Local #1151, he was a member of the Holy Name Society. Mr. Butcher loved woodworking and playing music on his guitar and autoharp. Surviving besides his wife are his sons Brian (Giselle) of Edmn. Alberta, Bernard (Martha) of New Hampshire, Frank (Sharon) of Georgia and Albert (Marilyn) of Upham, N.B., daughters Carol Taylor (David) Washington State, Sr. Elaine Butcher of Boston and Sheila Kelly (Richard) of Mass., sister Marion Thomas (Herb) of Toronto, nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by two sisters Doris Arsenault and Gladys Flannagan. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Rd. (646-2424) with visiting on Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Anns Church on Monday, December 31, 2001 at 10:00 am followed by interment in St. Josephs Cemetery. Remembrances to the N.B. Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
