SPARKS, AUDREY E. - The death of Audrey E. Sparks, of Carleton Kirk Lodge, formerly of Saint John East, wife of the late G. Edmund Sparks, occurred on March 7, 2002, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Frederick and Martha (Flowers) Logan. She was born in Saint John and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was formerly employed as a ward secretary with the Saint John General Hospital and was a member of the Church of St. Mary and St. Bartholomew. She was predeceased by her first husband the late Gordon C. (Dick) McAvity in 1964, by her brothers Leslie, Sydney and Frederick Logan, and her sisters Muriel (Logan) Harper, Hazel (Logan) Graham, Marion (Logan) Fanjoy and Elsie Logan. She is survived by her four nieces Audrey (Jean) Saunders of Saint John East, Marilyn Kennedy of Millis, Massachusetts, Joan Russell of Guernsey, Channel Islands and Rhona Milley of Saint John West, three nephews L. Peter Logan of Bayfield, NB, David Logan of Ottawa, Ontario, and F. Stanley Graham of London, Ontario, her step-daughter Nada Sparks of Moncton, NB, and several cousins. By Audrey's request there will be no visiting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), where the cremation will take place. The family will hold a a private graveside service at Fernhill Cemetery during the summer. In lieu of flowers remembrances can be made to the New Brunswick Lung Association. www.brenansfh.com
