BARTON, ALTHA MARY - At the Queens North Health Complex, Minto, on Tuesday, March 12th, 2002, Altha Mary Barton, 79 years of age. Survived by her daughters, Mary (Arthur) McMurray of Quispamsis and Susan Barton of Cumberland Bay; by four sisters, Norma Flewelling of The Range, Dora (James) Brown of Lincoln, Dorothy Wasson of Fredericton, Roberta Melanson of Saint John; by brother Lawrence Wasson of Newcastle Bridge. Predeceased by her husband Hazen Barton, by sister Ada Pilmer and by brothers Ivan and Perry Wasson. Resting at the Chipman Funeral Home (339-6612, lockchip@nbnet.nb.ca) until Friday, March 15th, when funeral services will be held from the Cumberland Bay Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Mitchell Foley officiating. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m., with a Legion Service at 6:45 on Thursday evening. In lieu of flowers, donations to the SPCA would be appreciated by the family.
