MONICA MARGARET GRIFFITHS

GRIFFITHS, MONICA MARGARET - 79, Isaacs Harbour, N.S., died peacefully in St. Marthas Regional Hospital, Antigonish in the early hours of April 21st, 2002. She was a daughter of the late Reverend T. C. Kemp and Christabel Kemp. Born in Lincoln, England, she graduated as a State Registered Nurse and married her devoted husband Anthony in 1944 who survives her. She is also survived by her sister Dr. A. R. Kemp of South Wales, U.K., and by her son Andrew (Lynn), St. Lambert, Quebec, and daughters Sheila Fielding, Bridgewater, N.S., Jennifer (Dr. Douglas Margison), Fredericton, N.B. and Victoria (Charles B. Keith Jr.), Havelock, N.B., together with eight grandchildren. She came to Canada in 1952. A talented artist, she was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She had a shy disposition but enjoyed her many friends and acquaintances. She had a great sense of humour which was sometimes revealed in her original paintings and greeting cards. Special thanks are extended to the Medical, Nursing and Technical Staff of St. Marthas and to the Workers of the Guysborough County Home Support Agency. In accordance with her expressed wishes her body has been cremated and there are to be no visitation or funeral arrangements.
