MUNROE, ROBERT E.D. (BOB) - The death of Mr. Robert E.D. Munroe (Bob) husband of May (Kincade) Munroe of Saint John, NB occurred at his home on May 4, 2002 surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Saint John, he was the son of the late Grace (Coupe) and Robert Call Munroe. He is also survived by his beloved children, Kevin (Sandi) and Kelly, grandchildren; Rob, Nathan and Kayla who were the ultimate joy of his life. Bob is also survived by a sister , Barbara Manzer, Rothesay, NB and brother Bruce (Barbara) of Woodstock, Ont. and several nephews, nieces and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother Bill. Bob served as a Paratrooper with the Canadian Armed Forces as a young man and was employed as a superintendent in the Water Dept. of the City of Saint John until his retirement in 1994. Bob was very active in church work especially in the missionary endeavors, having taken three trips to Guatemala and one to Honduras. He was a member of the Forest Hills United Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations to Missionary Ventures of Canada (in Memory of Bob Munroe for Feeding Centres in Guatemala), 336 Speedvale Ave. West, Guelph, Ont., N1H 7M7, would be appreciated by the family or to a charity of the donor's choice. Resting at Brenans Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424) with visitation on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
