ROY DONALD SHAW

SHAW, ROY DONALD - The death of Mr. Roy Donald Shaw, formerly of 630 Harding Street, Saint John West, husband of Roberta M. (Cairns) Shaw, occurred on Wednesday, March 7, 2001, peacefully at the Saanich Peninsula Hospital, Saanichton, BC. Born in Moncton, New Brunswick, he was the son of the late Roy J. and Lulu H. (Biggar) Shaw. Mr. Shaw worked for the CNR Police Force and the Saint John Police Force, until his retirement. He was a member of Centenary Queen Square United Church, Beaus and Bells Square Dancers and the Masonic #8 F & AM, Carleton Union Lodge. Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Sandra I. Rapley (David) of Franktown, CO, USA, one brother, William A. Shaw (Ruth) of Saint John, two sisters, Eileen Ivany (Percy) of Saint John and Shirley Hansen (Russell) of Swift Currant, Sask., three grandsons, Andrew of Highlands Ranch, CO, Michael of Houston, TX and Christopher of Lakewood, CO, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by twin son, David, one brother, Karl and one sister, Norma. A graveside service will be held at Cedar Hill Old Cemetery on Wednesday, July 17, 2002 at 11:00 AM. Arrangements are under the direction of Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, (634-7424).
