RICHARDSON, MRS. MARIE J. - The death of Mrs. Marie J. Richardson, of Saint John, NB, occurred on Tuesday August 13, 2002 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Plaster Rock, NB, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Grace (Burgoyne) Chappel. She had been a RNA for the General Hospital and Carleton Kirk Nursing Home. Marie belonged to the Boys and Girls Club, Women's Auxiliary. She was well-known for her love of bingo and cards. She is survived by her devoted friend, Ed Richard, three sons Harold (Joan) of Saint John, Bill (Kim) of Oromocto, and Danny of Saint John; one daughter Cathy of Saint John; six grandchildren Alyssa and Drew, Brandon, Marisa-Jean, and Hayden and Alicia; five brothers Malcolm (Doris) and Douglas (Lorraine) both of Saint John, Kenneth (Sharon) and Steven (Gisele) both of Plaster Rock, and David (Chloe) of Moncton; three sisters Winifred Yates (Val) of Chipman, Lorna Green of Plaster Rock, and Phyllis Coston of Ontario; several nieces and nephews. Sisters Katherine Theriault and Glenna Hebert, brother Stanley predeceased her. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424), with visitation on Thursday, 7-9 (for family only) and Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Following cremation, the funeral service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday August 17, 2002 at 10:30 a.m., followed by interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery. A reception will follow at the St. Joachim's Knights of Columbus Hall. Donations made to the Canadian Kidney Foundation, Canadian Diabetes Association, New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
