BENEY, SAMUEL "HAPPY" - Unexpectedly at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, NB on October 28, 2002, Mr. Samuel "Happy" Beney of #380 Route 176, Pennfield, NB and husband of Ruth Marie (Anthony) Beney. Born in Second Falls, NB on April 2, 1927, he was a son of the late Samuel and Lena (Beney) Beney. A loving husband, father and grandfather, he is survived by his wife of 49 years, Ruth; one son, Melvin (Sherry); three granddaughters, Chastity Seeley (Philip) of St. George; Shannon Blanchard (Paul) of Blacks Harbour and Kristen Beney of Pennfield; three great granddaughters, Justine, Ashley and Katherine; special sister-in-law, Lillian Justason (Vance) of Grand Bay-Westfield; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by four brothers, Otis, Warren, Arthur and Vincent and four sisters, Irene, Marion, Bessie and Beatrice. Happy was an avid hunter and fisherman. A gifted craftsman, he enjoyed auto mechanics and woodworking. Resting at the Family Worship Center, 90 Lower Letang Road, St. George, NB from where the service will be held on Thursday at 4 pm, followed by interment at the St. George Rural Cemetery. Visiting at the church on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Donations to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
