WHEELER, DORIS W. - EASTON & PRESQUE ISLE- Easton & Presque Isle - Mrs. Doris Wheeler, 91, wife of the late H. Owen "Sam" Wheeler, passed away Tuesday evening, December 3, 2002 at the Presque Isle residence. She was born March 1, 1911 at Fort Fairfield the daughter of Delmore and Effie (Gartley) Webber. She was a graduate of the Fort Fairfield High School and the Aroostook State Normal School in 1930. She was employed as a teacher with the Easton School System for several years and was a member of the St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Fort Fairfield. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wheeler was predeceased by her husband, H. Owen "Sam" Wheeler on February 26,1990; one daughter, Margaret R. Flick in 1985; three sisters, Virginia Webber, Margaret Savage and Avis Giggey. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Richard O. and Barbara Wheeler of Perth-Andover, N.B. Canada; one sister, Mrs. Olive Bolster of Easton, Maine; one grandson, Bruce Osgood and his wife Laurie of Belfast, Maine; three granddaughters, Kimberly Dubois and her husband Ken of Hudson, New Hampshire, Marsha Connors and her husband Joe of Naples, Florida, Amanda Wheeler-Marchard and her husband Jimmy of Geary, N.B., Canada; three great granddaughters, Katie, Christie and Kariann Osgood, all of Belfast, Maine; two great grandsons, Matthew Flynn of Hudson, N.H., Jack Connors of Naples, Florida; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call 7:00-9:00p.m., Friday, December 6,2002 at the Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield, Maine. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 7, 2002 at the funeral home with the Rev. Susan Murphy officiating. Spring interment will be in Estes Park Cemetery, Easton.
