April 5, 1948-July 22, 2008 Gardiner Mines/Peterborough It is with deep sadness that we, the family announce the passing of our dear sister, Heather, at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre, on July 22, after a brief battle with cancer. Heather is survived by her beloved husband, Gerry McMullin, and cherished sons, Jason (Shelley) and Michael. Will be greatly missed by grandchildren, Maybelle, Tarok and Ethan. Loving sister of Louise (Charlie) Boutilier, Evelyn (the late Fabian) Boutilier, George (Rosalind) Mackie, Anne (Wayne) Gedney, Seward Mackie, Brendan (Judy) Mackie, Leone (Keith) White, Gail (Daniel) O’Connell, and sister-in-law of Joan Mackie. Predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Bertha (Andrews) Mackie and brother, Robert Mackie. Fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. A funeral mass was held at St. Anne’s Church, Peterborough, July 25, followed by cremation. Burial service to be held at a later date in Gardiner Mines. Donations to the Cape Breton Cancer Centre or the Children’s Wish Foundation may be made in her memory.
