WENDELL LESTON DICKINSON

DICKINSON, WENDELL LESTON - Wendell Dickinson of Upper Woodstock passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 15, 2003, surrounded by his family, at the Carleton Manor. Wendell was born in Hartland, May 22, 1922 to Frank and Gladys (Leston) Dickinson. He was a veteran of World War 2, serving in the Canadian Air Force, an avid hunter and fisherman, with many stories to tell. Wendell enjoyed a long career as a social worker. He is survived by his wife Iva Dickinson; five sons, Frank Dickinson of Woodstock; Kim (Nancy) Dickinson of Jacksonville, NB; Randy and (Karen) Dickinson of Fredericton, NB; Stephen Dickinson of Ellsworth, Maine; Christopher (Ingrid) Dickinson of Fredericton, NB; three daughters, Linda (Jim) Ferrier of Toronto, ON; Cathy (Robbie) Burnett of Woodstock, NB; Wendy (Lyse) of Fredericton, NB; three very special grandchildren, the apples of his eye, Jacob; Amy; Kelti. He was predeceased by his parents; three brothers, Stephen; Bus and Douglas; one sister, Dorothy Kennedy. Resting at The Scott Funeral Home, 815 Main Street, Woodstock, NB with visiting on Saturday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Sunday at 3:00 pm from the Scott Funeral Home Chapel. The Venerable Walter Williams will be officiating, with interment in the Woodstock Rural Cemetery.
