John Angus Farrell, born in Glace Bay, N.S., Oct. 29, 1930. Passed away peacefully in Brampton, on Saturday, Aug. 16, 2008. Predeceased by his former wife Mary Carmel MacDonald. Proud father of Ken (Judy), Cathy (Doug Kirkey), Don (Linda), Yvonne (Ron Stinson) and Tom (Margerete). Beloved Grandpa of Melissa, Tim, and Ashley Farrell, Lori (Chris Sheppard) and Katie (Adam Prosser) Kirkey, Kristy (Ben Jones) and Kelly Farrell, Daniel and Lisa Stinson and Ian and Erin Farrell. Much loved great-grandpa of Teagan. Son of the late John Joseph Farrell and Sadie MacDonald of East Bay, N.S. Survived by siblings Mike (Kay), Mary Blake (Gerald), Rita Briand (Peter), Jim (Catherine), Effie Chipman (Bobby), Sally Sampson (Charles) and Joe (Carol). Predeceased by siblings Danny (Angie), Theresa MacNeil (Johnny), Margie Curry (Bernie) and Annie MacIsaac (Sonny). Dad was a driver for TTC and Grey Coach from 1952-1986. He enjoyed reminiscing about his many driving adventures. Dad spent his retirement years in Cape Breton before returning to Ontario in 2006 to live with Ken. He will be sorely missed by his large extended family and his beloved dog Barney.
