May 21, 1938-Sept. 3, 2008 It is with deep sadness we regret to announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather on September 3, 2008, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Cul-de-Sac, N.L., he was the son of the late Joe and Elsie Hardy. Cecil was a lover of the sea. He loved to travel the world and made friends easily because of his infectious personality. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Rita (Marsden) Hardy; sons, Bill (Michelle) and children, Jasea (Poppy’s girl) and Noah, all of Sydney, Joe (Michelle) and son, Joey, Fredericton, N.B.; daughter, Elizabeth (Kevin) Lindsay, Ottawa. Cremation has taken place. His final resting place is Ramea, Nfld. “ All the pain and grief is over, All the restless tossing passed. He is now at peace forever, Safely home in Heaven at last. May God keep you safe. We love you and will miss you dad .”
