62, Sydney Donald Meade, 62, Upper Prince Street, Sydney, passed away at home on Sunday, Sept. 14, 2008. Born in Harbour Breton, N.L., he was the son of the late Arthur and Beatrice (Stone) Meade. Surviving are his companion, Diane Crane; daughters, Roxanne (Jimmy) Jessome, Halifax and Claudette MacKenzie, Ontario; sons, Ronald MacKenzie, Sydney, Donald and Wayne Meade, Halifax; sisters, Roxanne (Joe), Digby, Deborah (George), Halifax, Marjorie (Charles), Harbour Breton, Phyllis (Wallace), Dartmouth, and Lucy (Kevin), Dartmouth; brothers, Rick, Dave (Ann), Joe (Tina), Halifax, Art (Leona), Main-a-Dieu, Corwin (Bessie), Gaultois, Dale (Donna), Dartmouth, and Corey, Digby; grandsons, Zackary and Jaccob, as well as several other grandchildren. Donald was predeceased by his son, Russell. Visitation will take place at Sydney Memorial Chapel on Thursday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Robert Lyle officiating.
