MORAN, IRENE - At the Grand Falls General Hospital, April 3, 2004, Mrs. Irene Moran of Grand Falls passed away at the age of 91 years. She was the wife of the late Michael Moran. Born at Saint-Andre in 1913, she was a daughter of the late Tom and Louise (Godreau) Powers. Mrs. Moran was an honorary member of the Grand Falls Golden Age Club and was formerly a member of the Catholic Women's League. She was predeceased by a grandson, Dale Gagnon. She is survived by two sons, Harding (Jacqueline) of Montreal and Francis (Solange) of New Carlisle, Quebec, four daughters, Doreen Shannon (Frederick) of Grand Falls, Cleo Gagnon (Marcel) of Orangeville, Ontario, Nelda Levesque (Roch) of Grand Falls and Lillian Filippone (Joe) of Newport News, Virginia, 26 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, one sister, Solange McLaughlin of Grand Falls, several nieces and nephews. Resting at O'Regan's Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd., Grand Falls with visiting hours Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Her funeral will be held Wednesday, April 7th at 11 a.m. from the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, Grand Falls, with interment in the Assumption Cemetery.
