87, Eastern Passage Mary Georgina (Georgie) Chisholm, 87, of Ocean View Manor, Eastern Passage, and formerly of Inverness, Cape Breton, passed away on Oct. 18, 2008. Born in Inverness, she was the daughter of the late Dan Hector McPhee and Mary Catherine (Cassie) Kennedy. She was a member of Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church in Inverness. She retired following a long career with Robin, Jones, and Whitman in 1987. She had a special caring in the community for the Inverness Consolidated Hospital especially volunteering at the Tuck Shop. She is survived by her daughter, Gerry (Fraser) West of Dartmouth; sisters, Lizzie and Nina; grandchildren, Ann Marie (Andy Ayers), Dallas, Texas and Brian (Lyuda) West, Chesapeake, Virginia; great-grandchildren, Lily and MacKenzie and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband of 60 years Jerome in 2003, her brothers, Neil and Harold, and her sisters Bell and Bertha. By request, cremation has taken place under the direction of the Cole Harbour Funeral Home and Crematorium. A private Family Graveside Service will be held at a later date. Donations may be made to the Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital or charity of choice.
