THOMPSON, ELIZABETH ANN (BETTY) - Wife of Manford Thompson, of Saint John, NB, passed away peacefully in the Palliative Care Unit of the Saint John Regional Hospital on Wednesday, December, 29th, 2004. Born in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late John and Isabel (Grant) Oliver.Besides her husband she is survived by two sons Gary (Kristin) Thompson and David Thompson; one daughter, Jill (Allen) Pinkerton; six grandchildren, Lauren and Colin Thompson, children of David, James and Peter Thompson, sons of Gary, and Jordan and Megan Pinkerton, children of Jill, two brothers, Burt (Margie) Oliver and George (Margie) Oliver; two sisters, Doris Oliver and Marion Leather and several special nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by two brothers, Willie Edmunston and Art Oliver and one sister and brother in law Edna and Louie Galbraith. Resting at Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Avenue, West Saint John, NB (506 - 634 - 1701) from where the visitation will be held on Friday evening from 7 - 9 pm and on Saturday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, January, 2nd, 2005 from All Saints Anglican Church, Park Avenue, Saint John at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers the family requests, in her memory, donations to the Palliative Care Unit or Roof Top Garden Fund of the Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation or to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
