AMHERST - Adeline Marie (Addie) Montrose, 90, of Amherst, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 18, 2008, at Gables Lodge Nursing Home, Amherst with her loving family by her side. Born in Streets Ridge, N.S., she resided most of her life in Victoria, Cumberland County, N.S. Addie devoted her life to being a wonderful, loving mother, grandmother, friend and a compassionate caregiver to others. Addie loved to receive and send letters and cards to her many friends and relatives. Her kind and caring manner will be greatly missed. She is survived by her daughter, Virginia of Dartmouth, NS and her son, Robert (Margaret) of Amherst; 3 grandchildren, Michael (Lisa) Montrose Cedar City, Utah, Julia (Phillip Ravenscroft) Cain of Stellenbosch, South Africa and Maria (Shawn Fuller) Cain of Dartmouth, NS; 9 great grandchildren, Scott, John, Tessa, David and Rae Montrose; Gabriel and Aidan Ravenscroft; Chloe and Lillian Fuller; many nieces and nephews. Addie was predeceased by her husband, Lloyd (1973), and her good friend Laurence McKim (2003) and also predeceased by sisters, Irene Scott, Rowene Crowley, Madeline Stevens, Mae Davidson and Shirley Sylvain. Her remains are resting in Campbell’s Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst (667-9906) with visiting on Friday, March 21, 2008 from 7-9 p.m.Funeral service will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. from Campbell’s Chapel with Rev.
