Bernice V. McNutt AMHERST The death of Bernice McNutt, age 87, of the Gables, Amherst, occurred on Wednesday, February 7, 2007. Born in West Brook, she was a daughter of the late Daniel and Frances (Hannah) MacAloney. Bernice was a member of the First Baptist Church and the former United Workers, She was a former member of the Orange Lodge, L.O.B.A. #996 and the St. John Ambulance of Springhill, N.S. Bernice will be sadly missed by her 3 step-sons, Mont Jr., Chiliwack, BC, Gordon, Zurich, ON and William of Elliott Lake, ON; 10 step-grandchildren; 8 step-great grandchildren; and a sister Mabel Smith, Springhill Jct.. She was predeceased by 2 husbands, Graham Sears in 1964 and Moncle McNutt in 1997; a step-son Beverly; brothers, Reginald and Jack MacAloney and a sister Mamie. Bernice's remains have been cremated under the care of the Furlong Jones Funeral Home, Amherst, (667-8777). A memorial service will be held at the Furlong Jones Chapel, 64 Church Street, Amherst on Saturday, February 10, 2007 at 2 pm, Rev. Byron Corkum officiating.
