LAWRENCE, FRAN - Passed away peacefully with her family by her side, at South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Durham, Ontario on Monday, July 25th, 2005, after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. The former Frances Lorraine Barton, of Durham, in her 61st year. Beloved wife of Brian Lawrence. Loving mother of Julie and Aaron. Dear sister of Raymond (Joan) Barton, Shirley (Norman Buckley), Kenneth (Patricia) Barton all of Saint John, New Brunswick and James Barton of Bogota, Colombia. Dear sister-in-law of Lois Barton, Don (Jeanette) Lawrence, and Jack (Carol) Lawrence. Predeceased by her parents Ernest and Violet Barton; her brothers John "Beans", Douglas and David; her infant sister Donna Marie; her father-in-law Thomas Lawrence; her mother-in-law Annabelle Lawrence and her brother-in-law Leslie Lawrence. Friends may call at the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, Durham (519) 369-3837 on Tuesday from 7 - 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. A celebration of life for Fran Lawrence will be held at the funeral home on Thursday afternoon at 1 o'clock. Cremation to follow with interment of cremated remains at the Durham Cemetery.
