CARPENTER, E . L. (JOEY) - Peacefully, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, Fredericton, NB on March 13, 2006, Mrs. E. L. (Joey) (MacDonald) Carpenter, wife of Earl F. Carpenter of Fredericton and Cummings Cove, Deer Island, NB. Born in Charlottetown, PEI on July 16, 1938, she was a daughter of Elizabeth (Burke) MacDonald of Fredericton, NB and the late William Richard MacDonald. A loving wife, daughter, grandmother and sister, she is survived, besides her husband, by her mother, Elizabeth MacDonald; two sons, Jamie (Clare) Carpenter of St. Andrews, Arthur (Kathy) Carpenter of Deer Island; one daughter, Jennifer (Wade) Richardson of Deer Island; 14 grandchildren, Julia, Erin, Kendra, Ethan, Cole, Danielle, Andrew, Kerry, Taylor, Alexandra, Jaiden, Cody, Joel and Justine; one sister, Wilma (Alton) Fraser of Fredericton; one brother, George MacDonald of Fredericton; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Joey loved to walk and prior to her retirement, she had owned and operated Misty Mirror Cosmetics in Fredericton. She was one of the first to practice esthetics in New Brunswick. Resting at the Lords Cove Church of Christ from where the service will be held on Friday, March 17th, at 2 pm, followed by interment in the Fairhaven Community Cemetery at Calder's Head. Visiting at the church on Thursday from 7-9 pm and Friday from 10 am until service time. In Joey's memory, donations to The Parkinsons Foundation, The IWK, or a charity of the donor's choice, would be appreciated by the family.
