HAWKES, ROBERT HERBERT - The death of R. Herbert Hawkes, age 68, of Belleisle Creek, NB, occurred at the Sussex Health Centre, on Monday, March 13, 2006. Herb was the husband of Doreen (Smith) Hawkes and son of the late Robert and Margaret (Smith) Hawkes. He is survived by his wife, daughters; Wendy and Stephen Mallory, Berwick, Sally and Bob Pearson, Springfield, Jean Hawkes, Rothesay and Lorna and Bob Whittaker, Quispamsis, grandchildren; Stephanie, Darci, Cole and Claire, brothers; Bill and Betty Hawkes, Hammond River, and George and Cheryl Hawkes, French Village, sisters; Lucy and Herb Creighton, Sussex, and Ruby and Eddie Masson, Quispamsis, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Verna Hawkes. He is resting at Sherwood's Funeral Home, (839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB, with visiting from 2 to 8 p.m., Wednesday. Funeral service will be held from Sherwood's Chapel, at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 16, 2006. A private family interment will take place following cremation.
