HICKMAN, JOAN - The death of Joan Hickman, age 72, of Wickham, NB, wife of James Hickman, Knightville, NB, occurred unexpectedly, at her residence, on Monday, May 8, 2006. She was born on April 23, 1934, in Saint John, New Brunswick, the daughter of the late Matthew and Amber (Scribner) Downs. She is survived by her husband, sons; Richard and Sheila, Wickham, and Mark and Theresa, Knightville, nine grandchildren; Curtis, Alysha, Angella, Meagan, Amelia, Marissa, Jonathan, Emerson and Jordan, one great granddaughter; Sophia, sister; Betty Watts, Moncton, nieces; Susan, Diane, Kim, Krista, and Kathy, and nephew; Kevin. Joan was predeceased by her son Matthew and brother Bobby. Visiting at Sherwood's Funeral Home, (839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, on Friday, from 2 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held from Sherwood's Chapel, at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, May 13, 2006, followed by interment in Wickham Cemetery.
