JOHN P. BAMFORD

BAMFORD, JOHN P. - The passing of John Philip K. Bamford of Fredericton occurred Wednesday, December 27, 2006. He was 58. Born July 21, 1948 in Saint John, NB, he was the son of Phillip Bamford and the late Elizabeth (MacLean) Bamford. John is survived by his wife Lynda Forbes; his father Philip Bamford and special friends Ernie and Annis; Gerry Spencer; aunts M. Audrey Irvin (Gilbert); Anne P. Starr; cousins Janice Irvin Meek, Lois Nikerson, Ian Irvin, Katherine Swift, Jim Starr, Jack Starr and Betty Ann Starr. He was predeceased by his mother Elizabeth Bamford; step-daughter Michelle Wells and a brother Richard. John lived in Fredericton but his heart belonged on the Miramichi where he spent many hours fishing Salmon and bird hunting with his faithful Brittany Spaniel by his side. John was involved for many years with the Salmon Federation. He worked for the NB Government for many years retiring in 2002. He also attained two Degrees at UNB. Those who knew John best will miss his humor and generous nature. Receiving friends Friday evening from 7-9 p.m. at Bishop's Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton, from where the funeral service will be held Saturday morning, December 30, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. H.G. MacKenzie officiating. Interment in the Rural Extension Cemetery in the spring.
