McCARLIE, ODNA EVELYN - Odna Evelyn (Bell) McCarlie of Grove Ave., Saint John, NB passed away peacefully at the St. John and St. Stephen Nursing Home on Wednesday, December 27, 2006 Born in St. Stephen, NB she was the daughter of the late Charles A. and Nettie (Leeman) Bell. Survived by her husband, William; son, Charles Leister Russell and his wife, Carol (Pomeroy) Russell of Windsor, ON; grand-children, Michael Russell, Lori Lee and Jennifer Lynn; several cousins. Odna was educated at Milltown High School, Normal School in Fredericton and Modern Business College in Saint John. She was employed as an Executive Secretary for forty years retiring in 1981. During her working career she was an active member of the National Secretary Association. Odna loved doing cross-stitch, needle-point and photography. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424. By request there will not be any visitation. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 2, 2007 from Brenan's Chapel at 11:00 am. A private interment will be held in St. Stephen Rural Cemetery.
