GREEN, ALICE MARION - 88, of Ingalls Head, Grand Manan, NB passed away at the Grand Manan Hospital on Sunday Morning, January 28th, 2007 after a lengthy illness. Born at Ingalls Head she was the daughter of the late Paige and Agnes (Blackwood) Ingalls of Ingalls Head. Alice spent her life as a devoted mother to her family and all her many friends, she also worked in the fish processing plants both on Grand Manan and Blacks Harbour in her younger years and later spent many years as a clerk for A. Ingalls General Store. She was a member of St. Paul's Anglican Church, a devoted worker and member of the Anglican Church Women at St. Paul's, and a former member of the Pythian Sisters, Southern Cross Lodge # 16, Grand Harbour. Alice is survived by her husband Oliver (SMILES) Green of sixty eight years marriage; four sons, Loring (SIS, Valerie) Green of Saint John, NB, Richard (Sharon) Green, Seal Cove, NB, Stuart (Raima) Green of Grand Harbour, NB, Wilbur (Denise) Green of Woodwards Cove, NB; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one sister, Jessie Moses; and two brothers, Laurence and George. The family will receive friends and relatives at Ells Funeral Home on Monday, January 29th, 2 to 4 pm, and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held from St. Paul's Anglican Church, Grand Harbour on Tuesday, January 30th, 2007 at 1:30 PM with Rev. Capt. Dana Dean officiating. Interment to follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery, Castalia, N.B. There will be a reception following the service hosted by the ACW at St. Paul's Hall. The family requests donations to be made to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation or to the charity of your choice.
