MORRISON, SYLVIA JONAH - The passing of Sylvia Jonah Morrison, wife of the late Kenneth Neil Morrison, of Fredericton, NB occurred on June 11, 2007 from the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on July 14, 1913 in Bear Island, NB, she was a daughter of the late Harold H. and Annie Maud (Jonah) Brown. Sylvia was a member of the Nashwaaksis Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons, Arnold Morrison (Faye) of Rothesay, Robert Morrison (Margaret) of St. Stephen; seven grandchildren, 17 great grand- children; sisters-in-law, Blanche Brown of Moncton and Edith Morrison of Apohaqui, NB; several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, Sylvia was predeceased by one brother, Robert Brown. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held from Nashwaaksis Baptist Church, Fredericton, NB on Wednesday, June 13, 2007 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Kevin Culberson officiating. Reception to follow. Pallbearers for the service are Reid Merritt, Roly Lord, Alton Fox, Wayne Waugh, Wayne Gunter and Tom Porter. Interment will take place at Bear Island Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances made to the Nashwaaksis Baptist Church or to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
