CHAMBERS, CHARLES W. - The death of Charles W. Chambers of Kingston, husband of the late Margaret (Shaw) Chambers occurred January 13, 2009 at his residence. He was born in Urney, NB, son of the late Norman and Annie (Dalling) Chambers. Charles was a resident of Urney moving to Saint John in 1954 and Keirsteadville Road in 1986. He worked at West Saint John Grain Elevators for twenty eight years in the winter and construction work as a cement finisher in the summer. He was a longtime attendee of New Apostolic Church. He is survived by three sons, Norman (Karen), Halifax, Anthony (Valerie), Halifax, Steven (Deborah), Central Greenwich; five sisters, Myrtle Chapman, Saint John, Ivy Carten, Urney Road, NB, Marjorie Bramen, Norton, Florence McArthur (Gordon), Sussex, Alice Parlee (Paul), Quispamsis; one brother Russell Chambers (Annie), Moncton; six grandchildren, Eric, Alex, Evan, Lisa, Toni and Michelle; two great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters, Mary, Lucy, Freda and Jean and brothers Lemuel and Harold. Resting at Reid's Funeral Home (832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, with visitation 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm Thursday. The funeral will be held Friday, 1:00pm, at Reid's Funeral Home Chapel with Priest Oran Furlong officiating. Interment in Riverbank Cemetery in the spring.
