Mrs. Sarah Ann MacIntyre, beloved daughter, wife, and mother, passed away peacefully at her home on Feb. 10, 2009.
Born in Scotch Lake on June 26, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Ambrose and Margaret (MacInnis) (MacNeil) MacDonald.
She was a devoted member of Immaculate Conception parish, Sydney Mines.
Sarah Ann moved to Sydney Mines with her mother and brothers at an early age. She attended St. John’s and Notre Dame schools. Sarah worked at house work until her marriage.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Frances; and her son, Joseph Patrick. She is also survived by her stepbrother, Archibald MacNeil.
Sarah was predeceased by her husband Neil Joseph MacIntyre, a brother, Joseph M. MacDonald, and a stepbrother, Joseph A. MacNeil.
Visitation for Sarah Ann MacIntyre will be held in the J.M. Jobes Funeral Home, 635 Main St., Sydney Mines, today (Thursday, Feb. 12) from 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place Friday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Fr. J.J. MacDonald officiating. The burial will be held in the spring.
