GRIGGS, JOHN - John D. Griggs of Saint John passed away on September 8th, 2009 at the Kennebec Manor. Born 1924 in Saint John to the late Douglas and Minnie (Santer) Griggs. John was a WWII Veteran and then worked with Coastal Bearings until his retirement in 1988. John is survived by his loving wife, Dolores (McLaughlin) of Saint John; son, David (Judy) of Fredericton and daughter, Myrna (Michael) of Saint John; six grandchildren Kimberly, Korey, Laura, Timothy, Jaret and Claire. Besides his parents he was predeceased by a sister Lilian Cunningham. A graveside service will be held at Oceanview Memorial Gardens on Friday, September 11th, 2009 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of John can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the charity of the donor's choice.
