ROCCA, ROBIN BATTISTA - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robin Battista Rocca on Friday, September 18, 2009, after a courageous nine month battle with leukemia. Born in Saint John, NB on July 8, 1980, he was the son of Umberto and Maria Rocca. Best Friend, husband and soul mate to Julie (Edwards) Rocca and father-to-be, to baby Robin Jr Rocca. Survived by his wife; his parents; brother, John (Tasha) Rocca; sister, Claudia (Brent) Parker; nieces, Gabriella and Adrianna; special nephew, Dominic; his loving in-laws, Bill and Jill Edwards and their family; his close Uncle and Aunt, Battista and Rosa Rocca and their family, and many of Robin's other uncles, aunts, cousins and friends in Canada and Italy. He was a husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend that words cannot describe. He was a high honors graduate of St. Malachy's High School followed by UNB Fredericton (2003 Electrical Engineer). He was most recently employed as an Electrical Engineer with Efficiency New Brunswick. Robin enjoyed life to the fullest; he was a great athlete and loved to travel. He was involved in several worthy charitable causes. He was also positive and encouraging, and an inspiration to his family, friends, and to everyone who knows him. Robin Rocca was without a doubt the strongest, most positive and the most truly wonderful person in every way. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, "Fallsview Chapel", 309 Lancaster Ave., Saint John West (634-1701) visitation will take place on Monday, September 21, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at 12:00 pm. from Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery.
