At the Dr. John M. Gillis Memorial Lodge in Eldon on Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2009, of Spurgeon “Friday” Walker of Georgetown, in his 99th year. Husband of the late Irene (Nee Buffett) Walker. Loving Father of Margaret “Peggy” Steele, Moncton, N.B., Carol (John) Bellis, Sooke, B.C., Lloyd, Winnipeg, Man., Ken (Wendy), Summerside. Cherished grandfather of 15 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Dear brother of Stanley (Jean), Charlottetown. Predeceased by brother, Chester, sisters, Lillian Lavers, Nettie Fitzgerald, in infancy Milinda and Sarah, son-in-law, Ernest Steele, daughter-in-law, Georgette Walker, and granddaughter, Cindy. Resting at Ferguson’s Montague Funeral Home from where the service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday at 11 a.m. Interment later in St. David’s United Church Cemetery, Georgetown. Visitation Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. If so desired, memorials to St. David’s United Cemetery Fund would be appreciated. St. Georges Masonic Lodge No. 4 will hold a Memorial Service for their Brother at the funeral home Friday at 9 p.m. All Brethern invited to attend.
