WANAMAKER, BERTHA BARBARA - The death of Bertha Wanamaker of Nauwigewauk, wife of Charles Wanamaker occurred November 13, 2009 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. She was born in Nauwigewauk, daughter of the late Clarence and Effie (Barr) Smith. Bertha was a member of Nauwigewauk Darlings Seniors and Smithtown Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Charles; daughter, Carol Ann Nice (Barry), Quispamsis; son Charles R. Wanamaker (Mary), Hampton; sisters, Audrey Dodge, Nauwigewauk, Gladys Casey, Calgary, AB; brother Clarence Smith "Kay" (Olive), Nauwigewauk; grandchildren, Michele McGuire (Peter), Kirk Nice (Elizabeth), Anita Webster (Duncan), Laurie Korbin (Michael), Colin Wanamaker and Sarah Wanamaker; great grandchildren, Mollie and Mary Kate McGuire, Charlotte and Kathryn Nice, Noah, Joseph and Maria Webster, Melissa, Curtis and Craig Wanamaker, Abigail, Holden and Max Korbin; sisters-in-law, Frances Smith and Annie Blacquire; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Vera Jenkins and brother, Albert Smith. Resting at Reid's Funeral Home (832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton with visitation Monday 3-8pm. The funeral will be held Tuesday, 2:00pm, at St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, Hampton with Rev. Kent Burdett officiating. Interment in Hampton Rural Cemetery.
