The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Friday, Feb. 13, 2009, of Prowse Gorrill Chappell, of Brophy Avenue, Summerside, and formerly of St. Eleanors, aged 80 years. Born in Kitchener, Ont., he was the son of the late Alex and Pearl (Gorrill) Chappell. Survived by his wife Bertie (Dawson) Chappell; children Ron (Sue) Chappell, Sherbrooke; Debby Chappell (Rainer Zenner), Summerside and Cindy (Ronnie) Carragher, Charlottetown, grandchildren, Carla, Alexander, Emily, Patrick and Shannon Chappell and Mark and Scott Carragher. Predeceased by his son, Wayne, and sister, Eunice. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Tuesday, then to Summerside Baptist Church for funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Interment later in Peoples Cemetery, Summerside. Visiting hours Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Memorial donations to the International Children’s Memorial Place, Summerside Baptist Church or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
