FOGGO, FRANCES RUMINA - After a brief but valiant battle with cancer Frances R. Foggo of Quispamsis, devoted wife for 48 years of Graham Foggo, passed away on Monday December 28, 2009 at the Saint John Regional Hospital Palliative Care Unit. Fran was born in Saint John in 1941 and grew up in Halifax. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Roberta (Porter) McCarthy. Fran was in the RCAF where she met and married her loving husband Graham. She was a member of RCL Kennebecasis Branch # 58 and was the secretary/treasurer of the Ladies Auxiliary. She also served as provincial secretary of the LA. She loved darts and was a member of the Ladies Kennebecasis Valley Dart league for years. Fran also loved bridge and played on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday's with and against many great friends. Besides her husband, Fran is survived by her three wonderful children, Shirley (Eric Arsenault) of Rothesay, Deborah and Anthony both of Halifax; as well as two super grandchildren, Kristopher of Saint John and Nicole of Rothesay. Fran is also survived by her sister Sharon Harris (Ken) of Toronto; brothers John McCarthy of Halifax and Joseph McCarthy (Clara) of Halifax; sister-in-law Pamela Murphy (Brian) of Saskatoon, SK; several nieces, nephews and many friends. Following cremation visitation will be at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd. Saint John (646-2424) on Thursday January 7, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with a legion tribute beginning at 7:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held at Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Friday January 8th at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Lancaster Ave. Donations in Fran's memory may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
