Ann Theresa MacInnis, 79, of Hillside Road, Marion Bridge, passed away Monday, Feb. 16, 2009, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Edward Fanning and Madeline Cullen.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Mission parish, Marion Bridge.
Ann was very involved in the church and a very active fundraiser both for the church and in the community. Her door was always open and if you were ever in need of a pair of warm knitted socks or a hot cup of tea, Ann was the one to go to.
She was dearly loved and will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 60 years, Lawrence; daughters, Lynda (Calvin) Eddy, Beverly (Ernest) Mugridge, Anita (Charles) Foley, Nancy MacInnis; sons, Lawrence William (Barb) and Robert Phillip. She will also be sadly missed by her 14 grandchildren, Adelia, Susan, Bill, Matthew, Leah, Michelle, Brad, Adam, Ian, Colin, Tyler, David, Rob and Daniel; as well several great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Madeline and sister, Delores.
Visitation for Ann MacInnis will be held Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel. A funeral mass will be celebrated Friday at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Mission Church with Rev. Donald MacGillivary officiating. Burial at a later date.
